Off to Abortion Clinic Firebombing Rally

I am heading to the steps of West Palm Beach City Hall for an emergency rally in response to the firebombing of a Women's Clinic in WPB.

This is the second bombing in the area in a little over a year.

There is currently no facilities to provide abortions in Palm Beach County. There is no choice in what is one of the largest counties in Florida.

The women who live in our Agricultural areas in the western community of the county have an over two hour drive to receive services.

All politics is local. And having national choice means jack, when you cant get services in your area. So we need to support local candidates that support womens issues and will advocate for their protection.

So off I go to rally and speak before the WPB city commission asking for protection of womens health in my county.

peace,
echo

I have entered the blog universe

Greetings fellow earthlings.

After repeated request, I have decided to start a blog. This way I can share my various projects and activities to the world. I also think it is important that we have venues where Greens can share their work with the world and be identified as being Greens.

I personally am involved with Election Reform, Peace, Women's rights, Sustainable development, aniimal rights, and just about every progressive movement in my area that I have time for.

I am an appointed member of the City of Lake Worth Tree Board.

I am a member of the Green Party and hold the following Green positions:
Co-chair of Palm Beach County Green Party and the State of Florida Green Party
Delegate from Florida to the USGP
member of the Women's Caucuses of the USGP and Florida Green Party.

I am just at home carrying a sign in the streets and speaking to legislators.

I believe that we must bring change from street and direct actions as well as legislative and electoral politics.

I believe that is important to have a diversity of voices in this country and America needs a second Party. The Republicrats are not enough.

I believe that the Green Party is an important tool for social change.

If not us, who? If not now, when?

So hang on and try to keep up. Share what you are working on and what has worked for you.

In the meantime, if you are registered with another party. Take the echo challenge. Check out your party's platform and check out ours.

If after reading both, you will know, whether you are a Green or not.

Let's Green the www up.

peace, love, and understanding,

echo
